In My Thirties: The Journey of Imperfections, The Corporate World and Confidence...With A Dash of Dating

The way I use Issa's comedic relief for my life experiences still has me rolling!

Last year, I reached the age of thirty! THIRTY! You know what that means? I’m now officially at the age where my back goes out more than I do. My neck, my back, the men are still ehhh! I mean, I used to love being out until dawn but now I’m just trying to stay awake past 9 PM without needing a nap!

My favorite perks about being thirty:

• My idea of a wild night is now binge-watching a series with snacks that are not made of pure sugar. I really adore Love is Blind, Bridgerton and Southside

• I can now confidently say, “I’m too old for that,” even if I secretly still want to try it. But if it's after 9 pm, you will find me doing my skincare, a lil scroll on Tik Tok or even baking.

• My body has officially joined a new club: “Let’s make weird noises when getting up or sitting down!”

• No more hitting the club, let's hit up that new food spot and travel to a new city!

So here’s to thirty! The age where I can still have fun, but now it comes with a side of ibuprofen and a liquid IV lol

Being apart of the thirty club has gave me a new sense of confidence and my body has become tea. The skin is plumping, the thighs are thicker than ever. Can I get an amen!

I've also come to understand that no one is coming to rescue you. If you desire your dream life, dream career, the perfect apartment, the ideal car, or even Aaron Pierre, you must fight for it. Balancing stress from my corporate job and my personal life has become crucial for me right now. One thing is certain, God is always by my side. I may not have the highest degree, but God has blessed me with favor and welcomed me with open arms.

It's just February, and I genuinely feel that my life is on the brink of a significant change, especially since I got tickets to Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter tour. Welcome to my thirties era where I laugh to keep from crying, my love for Beyonce, food and a dash of fashion, dating and new experiences.
